Something fun & extra is I have a wardrobe of dresses (and some other items) you can borrow to wear for your session!
Backstory: Time after time, I'd have senior girls showing up for their session with a white dress (classic- love it!), and when it came time to move around in it, normal consumer dresses just don't have any flow to them, there isn't enough fabric. They are generally thin with very little movement.
There are designers who sell higher-end dresses made to photograph well! These dresses also cost a lot more than what you can buy off Amazon or Shein, not realistic for most seniors to wear once.
Long story short, I have a growing collection of dresses for you in a variety of styles, cuts, and colors! I try to purchase fairly modest necklines (there are so many styles designed for motherhood sessions, beautiful, but I do try to purchase within the realm of what I'm comfortable with my own teenage daughters wearing). Most dresses are also multi-size!
The Magic- Something I guess you can say I stumbled on by accident with incorporating these flowy, designer dresses into the session is that they really add an extra touch to the experience that you won't get elsewhere, like the cherry on top! After taking all the pics in all the poses with your outfits, to conclude the outfit by twirling & playing in a beautiful gown is MAGIC!
One mom said, "It was a magical experience during the shoot to see the beautiful confident woman my daughter is becoming and occasionally I got to see little peeks of my baby girl come through." Wow.
Remember when you were little, did you have an Elsa dress? Or a stash of fancy Costco holiday girls dresses? My daughters had a bin full of these dresses that for some seasons that's what they wore, because life is just a bit brighter and special with something fancy! Each senior session gets 2-4 outfits, so there is margin for a magical, flowy dress as one of your outfits as well as your favorite jeans & shirt & a cute, new dress! There are many cute and lovely dresses you can shop for that you can purchase for your session and wear again and again, and your senior session is an excellent reason for that, too- you CAN have it both ways!
