Showing off your unique personality
and creating a photo shoot that is all about you is my goal for each and every one of my senior clients. There are many ways to do this such as using specific locations, what you wear and the poses we do during your senior shoot. But one of the best ways to show off your unique personality is by including props in your senior session.
Props can be anything from an heirloom piece of jewelry handed down from your grandmother that you wear to sports equipment for the sport you play and everything in between!
The senior questionnaire you receive once you book your senior session is a great place to tell me more about you, your likes, your hobbies, your interests, so we can come up with ideas of what can make your photos unique just like you.
When it comes to props, the first thing to do is think of something you love. Do you love to bake? Then let's plan a session in your kitchen showing off your baking skills. Do you play an instrument? If so, bring it with your for your shoot and let me take photos of you playing. Are you an artist? Then bring an easel and paint and let's capture you doing what you love, or bring a couple paintbrushes. Maybe you play a sport? Let's capture you in your uniform or holding a piece of equipment. Whatever it is you love to do, we can incorporate it into your senior session and really showcase you and what you love.
Here is a list of things that work well for senior photos. If you have a specific idea not on this list, be sure to share it with me. I love creating something different and using out of the box prop ideas can help make your shoot one of a kind.
