A bit about how it's going
My daughter graduated HS, only two left in my home! It’s been an emotional summer for me as our son prepares to move to California (all good stuff, I just like him.) Yes, I have started crying when a stranger I just met asks about my family. Multiple times. My youngest is also 13 now. It’s all incredibly bittersweet. As they grow into adults and spread their wings, I’m bursting with pride for who they’re becoming. And they are people I really like to hang out with. A house full of teenagers is sweet and worthy of savoring. If you have a house full of littles, keep it up- it’s sooo worth it!!!

Been up at Artist’s Point on Baker quite a few times this summer! Once as a fam so my hubby and the teens up for a hike could go up Table Mtn trail. I know it’s a drive, but boy, it’s WORTH it! I love the time-out on top of the world- layers of mountains and sky, a new scenery of alpine level trees & shrubs (and wildflowers in the summertime, how magical!) I encourage you to pack snacks, go up there to explore with the fam for a couple hours! And even if just once, get those epic pics, the one you print to show off in your living room. This month the heather and blueberry bushes turn red, and fall colors show off!
Where we left off, I was advertising family & birth photography, and doing just about everything. Going into the new year I asked God to help me reign it in and specialize. Here to let you know I have niched down into where my skill set & personality serves you best:
*Adventurous & playful full sessions for families with preteens & teens in locations like up on Mt Baker and out at Deception Pass (both breathtaking!) as well as at private or semi-private locations (your property, Northern State, or local farms/venues during after-hours).
*Personal, custom (and often magical!) sessions for adventurous & artistic graduating high school (& sometimes, college) Seniors
*Beautiful extended family sessions that go beyond “all the combos” to also capture candid, fun, & meaningful moments.
In this season of life, even though I’m no longer on call for births, I have friends who do amazing work serving families with babies and young children- I am happy to send some names your way, just ask!
Which, btw, Nicole with Sugarloaf babies who took our fam pic above- she is one of the birth & motherhood friends I will direct you to if you ask! She has been serving families for over 15 years, and is the trenches with littles, herself! If you have a family with littles, she is amazing with children.
